Hi Team

 Well Belgium went out with a bang, and after a long day oftravelling we arrived in humid JFK Airport, New York. We were greeted by Dayleand Cath Cheatley who took us on the 2.5 hour drive to our home for the nexttwo months: Main Street, Kutztown, Pennsylvania.

Sam Webster Triple Gold at Junior Track Worlds in Moscow

No doubt most people are aware of the tremendous success for Grammar rider Sam Webster at the Junior World Championships in Moscow - an amazing third gold medal was secured overnight our time. 

An outstanding result and well deserved given the focus and sacrifices Sam has made to pursue sporting excellence - enabling him to attain such a dominant position on the world stage.  A credit also to James, Meren and the family and others who support him in his endeavours.

New Fundraiser - Handywrap Jumbo Rolls

To raise essential funds for Grammar Cycling we are distributing to each family six jumbo size rolls of Handywrap to sell to family and friends.

Priced at $42 per roll, Zip Safe Handywrap rolls are excellent value (equivalent length at Woolworths sells for $51).  Each box has 600 metres of wrap with a safety-cutter.  These boxes last for years.

News from Aaron Gate in Belgium

Well there has been plenty going on since my first update...

I have since got the hang of Kermesse racing, best results being 18th and 14th place; we have raced a tour in the Belgian Mountains, Triptyque Ardennais; we have raced two Interclub races, GP De Wilder and GP Moorsele; and I have made the purchase of an SRM training system, all the way from Germany (a 2 hour drive away...).

Racing quite a few Kermesse's has been great in terms of learning the many aspects of bike racing ...

Cycling at Auckland Grammar has a proud and successful tradition, the result of a succession of high calibre riders, plus a strong support network from families and the school, along with the masters involved over the decades.
